Kindiki Advocates For Mediation To Address Historical Injustices In Coastal Regions

Kenya’s Interior Cabinet Secretary, Kithure Kindiki, has urged communities in Lamu County to resolve historical grievances and land disputes through mediation and dialogue. Speaking at a peace meeting in the county, Kindiki said that everyone had the right to own property, live and do business there. He added that any grievances should be resolved peacefully rather than through fighting. The government will play an active role in resolving all land injustices in Lamu and the wider Coast region, he said.
